Lisa made her stage debut at the tender age of fourteen in the original London cast of Annie and was the voice of Kira in the Jim Henson film ‘The Dark Crystal.’
She has enjoyed a long and varied career – rising to fame as children’s TV presenter on ‘Splash’ (ITV) and ‘No Limits’ (BBC) and then becoming a regular fixture on some of the BBC’s most popular light entertainment TV shows; partnering Les Dennis on The Les Dennis Laughter Show and as a member of ‘Russ Abbot’s Mad House’ – including a season with Russ at the London Palladium.
Other regular appearances followed playing characters alongside Noel Edmonds ‘Noel’s Saturday Road Show & House Party,’ Jasper Carrot in ‘Carrot Confidential,’ and Rik Mayall & Ade Edmondson in ‘Bottom.’
In the early Nineties Lisa went on to star in her own prime time sketch show ‘The Lisa Maxwell Show,’ for the BBC which led to her being offered a contract with Paramount Studios.  After three years away from the UK, she returned to the West End to appear in stage productions such as ‘Grease’ at the Dominion Theatre and ‘Boogie Nights’ at the Savoy.
Following her role as Pamela Ketman in BBC1 crime drama ‘In Deep’ with Nick Berry and Stephen Tompkinson, Lisa was asked to join the cast of ITV’s ‘The Bill’ as D.I. Samantha Nixon, followed by appearances in Eastenders, Hollyoaks and Casualty.
Her recent theatre appearances include playing Judy Garland in Peter Quilter’s award-winning play ‘End of The Rainbow,’ and Celia in Gary Barlow and Tim Firth’s ‘Calendar Girls.’

In 2003 Lisa became the subject of ITV’s ‘This Is Your Life,’ is a flagship former regular panellist on ITV’s Loose Women and was a semi finalist in the BBC1 series Celebrity MasterChef.
She is the longest serving ambassador for youth homeless charity Centrepoint and a patron of the Cotswolds Dogs and Cats home.
