Wendi Peters

Wendi could recently be seen playing the role of Mother Superior in the National tour of SISTER ACT: THE MUSICAL and on screen as series regular, Nina Bulsara, in BBC1’s DOCTORS. She recently played Lynda Babbage in MIDSOMER MURDERS (ITV) and headlined the National Tour of THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW.

Wendi is best known for her portrayal of the iconic Cilla Battersby-Brown in CORONATION STREET, and as series regular Cook Jenkins in HETTY FEATHER for CBBC. Alongside her screen work Wendi is in much demand as a stage actress with recent credits including; Diane in the European Premiere of YOU ARE HERE (Southwark Playhouse), Madame Latour in the National Tour of John Cleese’s BANG BANG, Mrs Baskin in the West End premiere of BIG THE MUSICAL at the Dominion Theatre, CALL ME VICKY (Pleasance Theatre), QUARTET (National Tour), STATE FAIR (Cadogan Hall), HATCHED ‘N’ DISPATCHED (Park Theatre, London), OH WHAT A LOVELY WAR (National Tour), WHITE CHRISTMAS (Lowry, Manchester, Edinburgh Festival Theatre & Dominion Theatre, West End), THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD at the Arts Theatre, West End and RUTHERFORD & SON for Northern Broadsides on National Tour.
