Busayo Ige

Busayo Ige is a British actor and writer of Nigerian heritage based in Essex. Most recently Busayo appeared in the cast of EastEnders as Monique Knight.

Busayo wrote and starred in the BFI-backed short film “Essex Girls,” the coming-of-age film explores Black British girlhood and magical female friendships in 2009 Essex. The film was longlisted for BAFTA Best Short Film 2024 and was an official selection at Sundance 2024.
Busayo was mentored by our Managing Director Alex Segal through the Victor Adebodun Foundation.
