InterTalent wins New Voice Award

InterTalent celebrates winning Best Agency for New Talent at the New Voice Awards 2022, hosted by The TV Foundation and the Edinburgh TV Festival.

Back for their first in-person ceremony since 2020, the New Voice Awards recognises the best undiscovered creatives and the companies who do the most to support them.

With categories across presenting, writing, social and web series, the awards ceremony shone a spotlight on individual talent rising through the ranks, as well as the agencies and production companies working to amplify them.

InterTalent were delighted to receive the first award of the night, crowning them the Best Agency for New Talent. The jury were “impressed by InterTalent’s grassroots approach to identifying new talent and their commitment to outreach and education”.

The agency was also delighted to receive a shortlisting for breakthrough client Stuart Douglas. Stuart was nominated for the Best Debut Presenter award after his first presenting credit for Phil & Kirstie’s Love It or List It, as part of Channel 4’s Black To Front programming in September 2021. His award category was presented by another InterTalent client, Jackie Adedeji, who praised the New Voice Awards for their due recognition of excellent emerging black British talent.

Campbell Glennie, MD of the Edinburgh TV Festival and TV Foundation said; “The New Voice Awards provide a vital platform to rising stars, helping to launch careers and give recognition to new, undiscovered creative talent from all backgrounds. We also celebrate the companies doing right by those who want to make their voices heard and are invested in their future. We don’t believe in velvet ropes, black tie or VIP areas, this night is for everyone. This year, we’ve had more entries than ever before, and we are delighted to be back in person, in a bigger venue and we have been blown away by the talent here tonight.”
