Xena Gusthart | Choreographer & Movement Director

Xena Gusthart trained at Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, receiving a First Class BA in Performing Arts, and she was awarded the Entrepreneurship Award by the University’s patron, Sir Paul McCartney.

Originally from Scotland, Xena is an international director and choreographer working in theatre and TV.  Her work has been shown all over the world from the UK to Canada, New York to Las Vegas. As well as dealing with large scale theatre productions in West End, regional and Broadway theatres, Xena has worked on main stage arenas including Twickenham in London for ‘Chime For Change’ and Manchester Arena for  ‘BBC’s Big Night of Musicals’.

Xena is currently associate choreographer for hit Broadway show ‘MJ The Musical’ at the Prince Edward Theatre, West End.

Further stage credits include: Bat Out Of Hell (revival choreographer / associate choreographer – Dominion Theatre, New York City Center Theater, International Tour, Las Vegas, Manchester Arena); The Lady With A Dog (Upstairs at the Gatehouse); Beauty & The Beast (Mansfield Palace Theatre); Jack & The Beanstalk (Kenton Theatre); Black Venus (The Other Palace); 9 To 5 (Breakin’ Convention/Scottish Arts Council, National Tour); Ah Cannea Wait (Sadlers Wells)

Commercial work includes Renault Clio (TV commercial); Adidas (German Product Launch/London Excel Centre).

Through the pandemic, Xena set up ‘The Showbiz Clinic’, a membership and coaching platform teaching performers ‘The Business of Showbiz’. This platform reached thousands of people across the globe helping empower performers, set their goals and reach their full potential in the industry.  Xena continues to coach performers around the globe, with the mission to help the next generation to have fulfilling and successful careers.

Xena has choreographed productions at top UK drama schools including IC Theatre, Trinity Laban, Laine Theatre Arts, Bird College.
