Comedian, presenter, actor and writer, Stephen Bailey is a proud northern, working class, gay man.

The multi-award nominated star’s brand of gossipy humour has singled him out as one of the UK’s most sought-after talents for comedy and entertainment formats. He boasts an impressive 100k followers on Instagram.

Stephen’s credits include Unbreakable (BBC One), co-host on Date or Drop (BBC One) alongside Amanda Holden, hosting Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), Would I Lie To You, Richard Osman’s House of Games, Pointless Celebrities, Celebrity Bridge of Lies & Celebrity Weakest Link (BBC One), Between The Covers, Strictly: It Takes Two (BBC Two), Live from Barry Island (BBC Wales), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Celebrity Mastermind (BBC One) Celebrity Weakest Link (BBC Two), The Apprentice: You’re Fired & Sara Cox’s Between The Covers (BBC Two), Love Island: Aftersun (ITV2), Tipping Point: Lucky Stars (ITV) and a regular on CelebAbility (ITV2).

After performing on Live at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central), he was commissioned to record his own 30 minute comedy special which aired on the channel in 2019. And in 2022, he recorded his debut BBC Radio 4 stand-up special “Stephen Bailey: One of Many”

As well as his other TV credits and stand-up appearances, he will also soon be seen in The Madame Blanc Mysteries (Channel 5), which he wrapped filming on earlier this year.

Stephen co-hosts “Let’s Talk About The Husband” podcast with fellow comedian Zoe Lyons. As well as being a prominent talent on the UK comedy circuit, he was recently nominated for the Best New Show award at the Leicester Comedy Festival and has also supported the biggest names in stand-up, including Katherine Ryan, Jenny Eclair, Jason Manford, John Bishop, Sarah Millican and Micky Flanagan.

Stephen’s quick-wit, playful sarcasm and enigmatic charm captivates instantly. He has already made a name for himself hosting Celebs on the Farm (Channel 5), Celebs on the Ranch (MTV) and Takeshi’s Castle (Comedy Central). He was the resident Agony Uncle on Zoe Ball on Saturday/Sunday (ITV) and a series regular on Big Brother’s Bit on the Side (Channel 5).

Stephen is also the narrator of ITV Be’s Ferne McCann: First Time Mum and Channel 4’s new dating show Five Dates A Week. He has guest hosted for Sunday Takeover (Virgin Radio), The Jason Manford Show (Absolute Radio), Drivetime with Eamonn Holmes (TalkRadio), News Quiz (Radio 4), The Breakfast Show (Gaydio), The Sunday Sessions with Laura Whitmore (BBC 5Live) and is a regular host on The Comedy Club on BBC Radio 4 Extra.

He has hosted and performed at Corporate events for companies including Sainsburys, Selfridges, Stonewall and many more.

He is also a proudly passionate ambassador of LGBTQ+ rights and representation within the media industry, and has been celebrated by leading publications including Attitude Magazine. This year, Stephen turned his attention to his social media and started created content comparing his 20s to his 30s, which led to him going viral, his following increasing by 146% in 4 weeks and Melissa McCarthy publicly declaring him as her “spirit animal”
