Siobhan Murphy is an interior designer and stylist from West Yorkshire. She has an eye for creative design, pattern and colour all put together in a distinct playful and joyous style. Siobhan’s passion is beautiful spaces, transforming bland to beautiful, drab to decadent but always with a smile and a giggle with her fun and bubbly personality.

Being a plus size influencer, Siobhan believes in promoting body confidence and encouraging other women to wear the clothes that make them happy and feel good.

Siobhan studied fashion and accessories at Leeds College of Art and later specialised in bespoke millinery making bespoke avant garde creations for the brave. Whilst there she appeared on the BBC’s The Clothes Show to showcase her hat designs.

Siobhan then forged a career in the NHS, managing the communications aspects of national projects. In particular she has presented to large audiences of delegates at trade shows.

In 2018 Siobhan appeared in BBC1’s Bargain Hunt.

Most recently, Siobhan reached the final of the hit BBC show Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr, a competition show which pits 10 interior designers against each other for a chance to win a commercial design contract. Each week, a different challenge is set, designed to test their abilities to meet various client briefs in different commercial and residential settings. Across the series, the contenders redesign commercial spaces, from shops to restaurants, beach huts to luxury hotel rooms.

Feedback on some of Siobhan designs:

IDM’s head judge Michelle Ogundehin, former editor in chief at Elle Decor said ““it’s a complete, singular and coherent statement that’s unapologetic and I love it

Sophie Robinson, well known interior designer and stylist, said “I’m in heaven I’m just gonna come straight out and say it, its just so much fun I love it, verging on genius

“It’s certainly got character, it’s that Hollywood glamour, very Jean Harlow. I do think it is refined, there is an elegance about it, it is quite courageous I feel” Kit Kemp MBE Interior Designer

“hooked on glam isn’t she, I’m finding the colour scheme really rather pleasant” Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen.

Buying her dream Art Deco home has further ignited Siobhan’s love for interior design and given her the push to pursue a career in the industry. Her natural style is maximalist, decadent and luxurious but she can turn her hand to any brief and is not afraid to experiment with new styles.

A keen crafter, maker and upcycler turning the old and unloved into beautiful pieces, Siobhan can turn her hand to most things including DIY, decorating, creating art, sewing and upholstery.

Siobhan has also designed and taught numerous interior design workshops.

In addition to interiors and TV work, Siobhan produces interiors and related film and video content for her Instagram page and her design work has been featured in several national publications including Metro, Living North, Homestyle magazine together with national newspapers.
