Sammy Winward is a Manchester-based actress from Bolton.

She can currently be seen as recurring character Sonia Sutcliffe in The Long Shadow (ITV).

Best known for her much-loved portrayal of Katie Sugden from 2001-2015, Sammy has since carved out a career in top television dramas including Prey (Red Production/ITV), and Fearless (ITV/Mammoth Screen).

Film includes The Lies We Tell (BIFA) and 2021 short Lead Belly (JLA Film) for which Sammy was nominated for Best Actress at two film festivals.
