Ruby Rare (she/they) is an award-winning sex and relationships expert with over nine years’ experience in the industry. A writer, presenter and broadcaster, they are on a mission to get everyone talking more confidently and inclusively about sex.
Ruby enjoyed her TV debut in 2023 with presenting duties on the new E4 show, Sex Rated (Mighty Productions), which she hosted alongside Rylan Clark. Airing for six weeks, Ruby gave an education to both the studio audience and viewers at home about everything from sex toys to queer experiences, with lots of laughs along the way.

In the world of audio, Ruby has also hosted the popular podcast docu-series In Touch (Broccoli Productions), which explores the ways we connect to sex, relationships, and our bodies with nuance and curiosity.
An avid writer and speaker, Ruby has authored Sex Ed: A Guide for Adults (Bloomsbury, 2020) and is currently writing her new book about relationships for Vermilion Books (Ebury, Penguin Random House). They have also been been featured in the Guardian, Metro, Pink News, and Huffington Post, and have spoken at TedXLondon, Women of the World Festival, and on BBC Woman’s Hour.
Ruby is a proud ambassador for Brook, the UK’s leading sexual health charity, and is co-founder of the body positive life drawing class, Body Love Sketch Club. They also host their infamous ‘Sexy Sermon’ events regularly, where they educate and entertain live audiences. In April 2024, Ruby delivered her rousing talk: ‘Elastic Love — Applying the Principles of Non-Monogamy to Your Creative Practice’ at the annual DK Festival of Creativity for marketing and creative experts.
In 2023 Ruby won best Sex and Relationships Creator at the bCreator Awards, an award given for her commitment to spreading positivity and helpful information to her followers. Ruby has been listed as one of 24 figures making a positive change to social media in Cosmopolitan’s Positivity Index, and is on The DIVA Power List, which celebrates queer trailblazers changing the game for LGBTQ+ representation.
Ruby enjoys collaborative partnerships with the likes of Netflix, Modibodi, LELO, JOYClub and Feeld. She is an ambassador for the streaming platform MUBI and the brand Pasante.
