Matthew is currently playing the role of Ned Schneebly in the first UK and Ireland tour of School of Rock.

Matthew graduated from ArtsEd in 2012 and has since played the lead role of Boy George in the Musical Taboo in Brixton and New York, appeared in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Waitress in London’s West End and toured Internationally with Cats the Musical.

Matthew choreographed the London transfer of Sondheim’s Putting It Together at the St James Theatre starring David Bedella, Daniel Crossley, Janie Dee, Damian Humbley and Caroline Sheen. Critically well received, the show gained a 5 star review from The Times.

Whilst performing in Charlie, Matthew worked as the Assistant Children’s Director and was part of the process of putting numerous children into the show and maintaining their performances throughout the run. In 2016 Matthew founded Vibe Arts Theatre School with Alex Turney.
