Mark Rhodes

Mark is a double BAFTA award-winning TV presenter, singer and actor, who first appeared on our screens as a contestant in the second series of Pop Idol in 2003. After reaching the finals he teamed up with fellow contestant Sam Nixon and they went on to have a number one selling single before finding their passion in TV presenting, and cementing themselves as the faces of CBBC for over 19 years.

Over the years Mark has presented hundreds of hours of TV and is perhaps best-known for presenting the return of the iconic Crackerjack (CBBC), eight series of Sam & Mark’s Big Friday Wind Up (CBBC), as well as the much-loved Saturday morning live show TMI (CBBC). Other credits include; two series of The Junior Bake Off for CBBC, Match of the Day: Can You Kick It, Copycats, Taking the Next Step, Sport Relief Does Glee Club and Top of the Pops Reloaded, to name just a few.

Other recent TV credits include Richard Osman’s House of Games, Catchpoint, The One Show and All Star Games for Sport Relief. Mark is also a regular guest panelist on the Jeremy Vine Show on Channel 5.

With numerous awards and award nominations under his belt, Mark has twice won ‘Best Presenter’ at the BAFTA Children & Young People’s Awards in 2013 and 2015 respectively.

Alongside an illustrious career in TV, Mark also presents his own weekend radio show on BBC Radio WM. He has delighted fans with the live Sam and Mark On The Road Show across the UK at summer festivals and as part of the Underbelly Festival, as well as across the world whilst touring with P&O Cruises.

Mark is the co-author of three children’s books published by Scholastic: The Adventures of Long Arm, The Adventures of Long Arm 2: Revenge of the Supply Teacher and The Stink Before Christmas published in over six languages.

Earlier this year, Mark returned to Crazy Coqs at the renowned Brasserie Zedel with his sell out cabaret show, Swinging Through the Years. He also continues to host the hugely popular Masked Singer Live at venues around the country.

Outside of presenting and performing, Mark is a long-term ambassador for the Wolves Foundation as well as a patron of Whizz Kids and Kicks Count, all charities that are very close to his heart.
