Lyn Paul came to fame in the early 1970’s as a member of The New Seekers, who recorded the Grammy Award nominated song, ‘I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing’ for the iconic hilltop Coca Cola commercial. It proved to be so popular that the group also recorded it as a single, it sold over
28 million copies and still remains one of the 100 best selling singles in the UK. The band toured America with Liza Minnelli and Vikki Carr also supporting Vikki Carr at the Riviera in Las Vegas. Other artistes they worked with included Jack Jones, Neil Diamond, Andy Williams, and Frank Sinatra. They appeared on numerous television shows including THE TONIGHT SHOW starring Johnny Carson, THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW, THE MIKE DOUGLAS SHOW, THE ANDY WILLIAMS SHOW and THE SONNY AND CHER SHOW.
Lyn and The New Seekers were asked to perform at the Inauguration of President Nixon, the first time an act from outside the USA had been invited to perform at a presidential inauguration.

Lyn sang the title song ‘Sail The Summer Winds’ on the Gregory Peck movie ‘The Dove’. The song was nominated for a Golden Globe. She has worked on TV and on many shows  with top line artists including Cliff Richard, Olivia Newton-John, Norman Wisdom, Cilla Black and Cat Stevens.

In 1997 Lyn made her debut in musical theatre in the West End taking the lead role of Mrs Johnston in Willy Russell’s hit musical BLOOD BROTHERS, produced by Bill Kenwright. She has been voted the definitive Mrs Johnston and reprised the role regularly over 23 years performing all over the country and The West End where she was a member of the final cast.

Lyn has also been on stage in Boy George’s TABOO with Luke Evans, FOOTLOOSE (UK tour),  RHINESTONE MONDAYS (UK tour), She played Fraulein Schneider in Bill Kenwrights production of CABARET directed by the artistic director of The National Theatre, Rufus Norris, and recently the UK tour of CALENDAR GIRLS playing the role of Jessie.

Her Television credits include EMMERDALE, HOLBY CITY, DOCTORS, IN DEEP and CORONATION STREET.

Lyn considers her greatest production to be her son Ryan Young who works on film.
