Lisa O’Connor is an award-winning writer and actress from County Clare in the west of Ireland. After receiving a first-class honours degree in Theatre and Drama Studies, she moved to London to further her career, becoming a member of the National Youth Theatre and a winner of the national finals of the acclaimed Monologue Slam.
On screen, Lisa can recently be seen in a number of 2025 films, including A Hand to Hold, playing Kathleen opposite Olivier Award winner Frances Barber and Murray McArthur, Reborning (Engine Shorts), Pull Hard, and The Lost Children of Tuam for Element Pictures, directed by Frank Berry. Her recent film work also includes Sisterwives (2024). Lisa made her television debut as guest lead Jacinta O’Malley in BBC’s Call the Midwife.

Her theatre credits include the critically acclaimed production of The Pride at the English Theatre of Hamburg, where she played Sylvia, and 12:37 at the Finborough Theatre, directed by Julia Pascal, for which she received critical praise. More recently, she appeared in Piseog at the Mish Mash LAMDA Festival (2024).
Lisa’s debut feature film Fleeting — which she wrote and starred in — was nominated for Best Drama at the BIFA-qualifying Brighton Rocks Film Festival and won Best Director. Lisa herself won Best Actor at the IFTA-qualifying Disappear Here Film Festival (2024).
Alongside her acting work, Lisa is an experienced voiceover artist and commercial performer, with recent 2025 credits including campaigns for Diageo Ireland, Bord Gáis Energy, British Airways, Smyths Toy Superstores, and Heathrow.
