Wellerman is Number 1 this Sunday 31st January on The Official Big Top 40 – the UK’s biggest chart show.
The 19th century sea shanty was first covered on TikTok by the Scottish former postman, Nathan Evans.
220 KID and production duo Billen Ted then remixed the track as its popularity grew, with MistaJam then premiering the dance anthem on his Capital Dance show just twenty minutes after it had been finished.
After entering the chart last week, Wellerman becomes the first-ever sea shanty to top the charts.
The track knocks Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘drivers license’ from Number 1, after spending the last two weeks at the top.
Currently, Wellerman is in the charts of 38 countries around the world.
