Nicole Raquel Dennis in Dreamgirls (UK Tour)

Nicole Raquel Dennis will star as Effie White in the tour of Dreamgirls, alongside Natalie Kassanga and Paige Peddie.

Kassanga will star as Deena Jones, with Peddie as Lorrell Robinson. Dom Hartley-Harris stars as Curtis Taylor Jr, with Brandon Lee Sears as Jimmy Early, Shem Omari James as CC White, Jo Servi as Marty and Brianna Ogunbawo as Michelle Morris.

At certain shows, the role of Effie White will be played by Sharlene Hector.

The full company will include Shonah Buwu, Harvey Ebbage, Olivia Foster-Browne, Kellianna Jay, Ryan Kayode, Holly Liburd, Ross Meagrow, Samuel Nicholas, Nicole Nyarambi, Ilana Richardson and Josh Singleton.

The musical begins its tour at the Liverpool Empire, on December 14, and continues to venues including Bristol Hippodrome, Milton Keynes Theatre, Sunderland Empire and Edinburgh Playhouse. It is currently scheduled to tour until December next year, when it plays at the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham.

The show is directed by Casey Nicholaw, with set and costume design by Tim Hatley, lighting design by Hugh Vanstone, sound design by Richard Brooker, hair design by Josh Marquette, music supervision by Nick Finlow and casting by Natalie Gallacher CDG for Pippa Ailion Casting CDG.

The associate director is Alison Pollard, the associate choreographer is Sean Parkins and the resident director is Ricardo Coke-Thomas.

It has a book and lyrics by Tom Eyen and music by Henry Krieger, with additional material by Willie Reale. It is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions.
